Heald’s Matador Shortlisted at the Counter Terror Awards

Heald are proud to announce that our Matador 6 bollard system has been shortlisted in the Perimeter Protection Award category of the upcoming Counter Terror Awards. The Counter Terror Awards are staged to recognise the efforts of organisations in both the public and private sectors and their contributions to counter terror strategy in the UK and overseas.

The Matador 6 is the latest product to join Heald’s Matador range and consists of two fixed bollards either side of four central sliding bollards. This allows for wider openings for large vehicles, or to accommodate for tight turning circles. The HT3-Matador 6 is also supplied to two sections, bolted in the middle. This allows for any road camber adjustments and easy handling and shipping procedures.

The Matador 6 is available as part of Heald’s new electro mechanical range, or alternatively can be operated manually. The electro mechanical range has many additional benefits, including using less electricity to operate and a smaller cabinet to house controls.

The shortlist follows a successful win for Heald at last year’s Counter Terror Awards, where Heald’s Matador 4 won the Perimeter Protection Award. Heald’s Matador range has also recently been granted a US Patent to go alongside their GB Patent.

The Counter Terror Awards are set to take place on Tuesday 5th March during the Security and Counter Terror Expo. The ceremony will be hosted by Lord John Reid alongside a champagne reception and three course dinner.

Commenting on the award shortlist, Managing Director Debbie Heald MBE added: “We are once again delighted to have been recognised by the Counter Terror Awards. The Matador 6 is an excellent addition to our latest ranges and demonstrates Heald’s commitment to innovating to the demand and needs of perimeter security market.”
