Heald Shortlisted at Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Awards

Heald Ltd are delighted to learn they have been shortlisted in three categories for Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Awards this year; including Entrepreneur of the Year, Diversity and Companies turning over less than £10m.

From large SME’s to smaller start-ups, the awards aim to recognise the best of the Yorkshire business community. Out of a record-breaking 260 entries, a panel of six judges drew up the shortlist after a lengthy six and a half hour judging session.

Panel representatives included Jonathan Proctor of DLA Piper, Darren Owers from Yorkshire Bank and David McNeill from PwC, Juliette Healey from the Bank of England, James Mitchinson, editor of The Yorkshire Post and Mark Casci, the paper’s business editor.

In their 10th year, the The Yorkshire Post Business in Excellence Awards will be presented by BBC News presenter Fiona Bruce and held at The Royal Armouries in Leeds on Friday November 4 2016.

Commenting on the awards, Yorkshire Post’s Mark Casci stated:

“The quality of the submissions we received across all categories was nothing short of outstanding. The passion, talent and levels of achievement displayed were astonishing and made life very difficult for us as judges to whittle them down. On previous years many of those we were forced to bump off of the shortlist would have been standout candidates for the top slot, such was the standard.”
