Heald Placed 6th in the 2019 IP100 League Table

For the fourth year running, Heald are pleased to announce that we have been placed in the Metis Partners IP100 League Table, ranking in 6th place overall. Having moved up the board by two places from the previous year, it is our highest ranking since Heald first appeared on the IP100 in 2015 demonstrating our ongoing investment in intellectual property.

The IP100 is an annual ranking of innovative companies based on a rating of their IP asset strength and track record in exploiting IP. The top scoring companies are published in the IP100, an annual ranking of businesses which are considered to be the most effective at commercialising their IP assets.

Five areas are assessed to put together the IP100 League table, including the following classes – Patents, Brand and Reputation, Trade Secrets, Critical Databases and Software. Out of the five IP Asset Classes, Heald placed the highest in the Brand and Reputation table, ranking 4th overall.

The news comes following our announcement that the Evo Bollard has been granted a US Patent. This joins Heald’s other innovative security products such as the Matador and Raptor, which have also been granted GB and EU patents. This year we also trademarked our branding to protect our reputation and products.

Commenting on the IP100 listing, Managing Director Debbie Heald MBE added: “We are delighted to rank in the IP100 league table once again. This is our fourth year running we’ve placed in the top ten, which is a credit to the whole team at Heald. As part of our growth strategy, we will continue to innovate security products which help protect people and places.”
