Heald Matador 4 Commended at the Counter Terror Expo Excellence Awards 2013

COUNTER TERROR EXPO EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2013

Heald’s innovative surface mounted, sliding bollard system, the Matador4, has received a second award this year. Winning the Commended Category for Best Physical Security Innovation at the Counter Terror Expo Excellence Awards 2013, the Matador4 was judged by a panel of experts to be an innovative perimeter protection solution.

Because the Matador4 can be installed very quickly, making it perfect for both temporary and permanent installations, we believe it was always a strong contender in this competition. True to form, it beat off rivals for the coveted award in a hotly contested category. It was the Matador’s unique operation, easy installation and aesthetically pleasing look that makes it the product of choice. It can be fitted with a multitude of covers; even planters can be used.

The awards are highly recognised throughout the security industry.

There has, over the years been many instances where products have damaged unsuspecting vehicles through drivers not being able to view the product from their vehicles. Legitimate users have been subject to errors of judgement and have ended up damaging vehicles through not looking at the warning lights, although not the fault of the system provider it is still inconvenient for the client. We have designed the Matador to provide a visible automated system, which can be seen by the driver at all times, aiding safe passage for authorised users, coupled with an impressive crash result, this truly matches safety with high level security.
