Heald’s Commander Automatic Road Blocker is the world’s only security barrier PAS68 tested to stop a 30-tonne truck travelling at 80kph (50mph). Following the crash test, the road blocker continued to function.

Standing at 1165mm above the ground and presenting an imposing barrier to potential attackers or terrorists, there is simply no alternative if you need the highest level of security.

This is officially the highest impact energy test successfully carried out on a security barrier. It achieved a zero-penetration rating and was fully operational after impact. The Commander is specifically designed for sites where high-profile security is essential. The steel plate has been specially reinforced to evenly distribute any impact force giving unparalleled strength to the blocker.

The automatic road blocker requires an installation depth of approximately 1500mm, but the unique design of its outer box fabrication enables a quick and easy installation with no requirement for a pre-cast pit or additional rebar. This ensures that installation is as simple and efficient as possible.

Raised and lowered by remote push button control, the Commander is also available with Heald’s Hydra control and monitoring system which offers unprecedented levels of interaction through a simple, streamlined interface.

Operated via a single Hydraulic cylinder, providing smooth operation and easier servicing/maintenance with optional high security lock out valves and anti-sever burst valves for extra protection.
