Heald wins export award

We are delighted to announce that Heald has been crowned the winner of the Export category at the annual Made in Yorkshire Awards. 

The event, which is organised by Insider Media, represents the very best of engineering and manufacturing in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

The export award is presented to the manufacturing company based in the region deemed by the judges to be the most outstanding exporter in terms of international presence, export growth, and exports as a proportion of sales within the qualifying period.

With competition from leading regional manufacturers including household cleaning products manufacturer, Astonish, food brand manufacturer Regal Foods and healthcare firms Herida and Trio, Heald impressed the judges by adding a further three distribution partners in Germany, Sweden and Southeast Asia and increasing export growth during the qualifying period to be announced as the winner.

Debbie Heald, MBE commented: “Even during the challenges posed by the global pandemic, we have continued to grow our distributor relationships and establish new ones, enabling us to continue with our growth ambition.

I want to thank my colleagues, customers and distribution partners for playing such a pivotal role in Heald’s ongoing success”.

The win follows Heald being announced as a Department for International Trade Export Champion for the second year. 

Winners from the Made in Yorkshire Awards will now go on to the Made in the UK finals, of which a date is to be confirmed.
