We are delighted to announce that Heald has once again achieved SafeContractor accreditation following a stringent audit process by Alcumus SafeContractor.
The accreditation demonstrates Heald’s ongoing commitment to excellent standards in health and safety amongst UK contractors, and in particular within the security sector.
SafeContractor status provides customers with the assurance that they are dealing with a quality company which has gained this accreditation by maintaining excellent Health and Safety practices and procedures which are second to none.
Under the SafeContractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.
Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website, www.safecontractor.com
As part of the process, Heald also achieved the SafePQQ status which provides greater visibility of our supply chain compliance demonstrating that Heald is a safe, ethical and sustainable company to work with.
Employer-organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, which enables them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site. These employers agree that, as users of the scheme, they will engage only those who have received accreditation.
Commenting on the Heald’s ongoing achievement of SafeContractor status, managing director Debbie Heald MBE said “We work with a large number of organisations, such as government organisations, local authorities, military, airports, utilities and retail, all which rightly have very rigorous health and safety requirements. Our SafeContractor accreditation helps us to demonstrate our total commitment to health and safety for our customers, their customers and our staff and the public as a whole.”
