The notable efforts of Heald Ltd in championing gender diversity have been recognised at the inaugural Northern Power Women Awards with a win in the Small Business category this year.
The highly contested awards which received 680 entrants, took place on 3rd March at the Hilton in Deansgate, Manchester.
As a winner, Heald has been identified as an organisation which aims to take positive steps in transforming workplace culture in the north of England.
The Northern Power Women initiative seeks to increase opportunities for women and drive economic growth through positive change, working alongside business, universities and government. The awards received a staggering total of 680 entrants across nine categories this year.
Commenting on the award win, Managing Director Debbie Heald stated:
“We’re absolutely thrilled; It’s been a great start to the year for Heald with a string of award shortlistings and now a confirmed award win. We are delighted to have been recognised for our hard work and dedication and we attribute our recent successes to the continual efforts of the team.
Building on individual employees is a huge part of our growth strategy and we look forward to the next twelve months in continuing to champion gender diversity”.
The award win follows news last month that Heald had been named finalists in other awards including the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards, BQ Live’s Emerging Entrepreneur, Network She, International Women’s Day Awards and the Yorkshire Business Leaders awards.
