Heald exhibit at the Secured by Design ATLAS Event

At the end of February, Heald exhibited the annual Secured by Design ATLAS Event. Held in the Cotswolds, Designing Out Crime Offers (DOCOs) from across the UK’s police forces were in attendance to identify the latest innovations in security to protect their towns and cities from the risk of crime.

Over the two days, the event also provided Heald with insights on the latest Police Crime Prevention Initiatives, as well as networking opportunities throughout the interactive workshop sessions.

During the workshop sessions, Heald highlighted a selection of current security challenges the industry faces, such as issues around excavation and how a number of Heald’s shallow mount product solutions and physical security products can help protect both physical locations and secure temporary events.

Once again, Heald’s innovative sliding bollard system, the Matador was of significant interest. Being the only sliding bollard solution on the market globally, and with GB, EU and US patents, its unique sliding feature addresses challenges around installation, in contrast to rising bollards, which usually require a greater foundation depth.

Commenting on the exhibition, Managing Director Debbie Heald MBE added: “What another successful show for Heald. I would like to thank the team for their hard work on the run-up to the show and also thank the delegates to took the time to visit our stand to increase their knowledge on hostile vehicle mitigation. We will look forward to enhancing our relationship with the police force throughout this year.”
