Heald becomes sponsor of Hull City Ladies FC player 

We’re delighted to announce that Heald will be sponsoring Hull City Ladies FC player, Hope Knight for the 22-23 season.

Hull City Ladies FC was formed in 2001 and is an English women’s football club currently playing in the FA Women’s National League North. Heald will be the proud sponsor of the very talented attacker, Hope Knight #24.

 In a recent game against Bradford City, Hull City Ladies FC won 6-2, with Hope scoring four out of the six goals and being awarded player of the match. Hull City Ladies have also been recently drawn at home for the first round of the FA Women’s Cup. The team will play Newcastle Women on Sunday 13th November, hoping to break their previous crowd record of 421.

 With a long history in supporting local charities and organisations, the opportunity to partner with our local football club, and support a woman to achieve her potential in a predominantly male-dominated sport is something we are passionate about getting behind.

 As a business, Heald has always been passionate about supporting the underrepresented. This is mainly driven by Heald’s Managing Director, Debbie Heald, who received an MBE for her services to export and the promotion of STEM careers for women. Debbie is passionate about opportunities available to women in manufacturing and among other divisions in which women being bolstered to succeed and inspire others is encouraged.

 While manufacturing is generally a male-dominated sector, Heald continually pushes to break through this approach, as evidenced by the 50/50 gender split in the business. Aligning with Heald’s values, the team is passionate about empowering women to chase their ambitions, break conventional perceptions and inspire others.

 Commenting on the sponsor announcement Debbie Heald, MBE said, “Following the recent success of England women’s football team at the European Championships, Women’s football teams across the UK have seen an immense amount of support. This is a very exciting time for female footballers and the wider community.
