Heald Renews Sponsorship of Hull City Ladies Team

We are pleased to announce that we are extending our sponsorship of Hull City Ladies attacker Hope Knight for the 2025/26 season. Heald’s commitment to empowering women, both on and off the pitch, is reflected in this continued sponsorship of Hope, following her strong performance last season.
Rachel Gay, Club Chair of Hull City Ladies, commented: “As a local manufacturer, Heald’s dedication to championing women in our community aligns with our ethos of empowering women to develop in the sport they love and achieve their dreams.”
Kit Sponsorship
To further our support of the Hull City Ladies team, we have gone beyond player sponsorship. We have also invested in the club’s youth team by sponsoring their shirts and socks for both the first and development teams. The sponsorship supports Hull City Ladies’ continued dedication to producing local talent by aiding the next generation of Tigresses in their sporting journey, something the club is passionate about.
Rachel Gay added: “Having redeveloped our Pathway, we have restructured our FA Girls Emerging Talent status for U9’s, U10’s, U11’s, joined the Junior Premier League U12’s, U13’s and U16’s and also joined the Hull Boys
League U14’s as well as re-forming the Development Team.
“We have a clear focus on producing further homegrown talent that will go on to play first team football, and we’re delighted that Heald is supporting Tigresses and Lionesses of the future.”
Representation Matters
Inclusivity is a matter at the heart of Heald. With both football and manufacturing being male-dominated industries, it can be challenging for women to break through. However, at Heald, we are proud to have a 60/40 gender split and to support local female talent in their careers.
Our managing director, Debbie Heald, commented: “It’s a really exciting time for women in sport, with the Lionesses recently retaining their championship title against Spain and the England women’s rugby team winning the World Cup.
“As a company that champions women across all industries and sectors, we’re thrilled to see such talented women bringing home victories for the UK. We’re excited to be sponsoring Hope at Hull City Ladies and look forward to celebrating all her achievements.”
Debbie herself is proof of the importance of representation in male-dominated industries. She was recognised for her work with an MBE by the late Queen Elizabeth II in her 2017 New Year’s Honours list for services to STEM and exports, and she was also featured in The Sunday Times Maseratti 100 list as a Great British Innovator.
