Heald’s Connor McBeth takes on Hardworlds 40 for Parkinson’s UK

We are proud to share the news that our very own Connor McBeth will be embarking on the Hardwolds 40 for Parkinson’s UK.
Connor will be taking on this challenge after the passing of his wife’s Grandad, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
To help raise money for Parkinson’s UK, Connor will be running the Hardwolds 40 on the 5th of July.
Hardwolds 40 isn’t just any regular running event; it is a 47-mile endurance race, with the route following the Hudson Way from Beverley to pick up the Wolds Way just outside of Goodmanham, before continuing to follow the Wolds Way.
The gruelling route, in which competitors have up to 20 hours to complete, will see Connor passing through chalk landscapes, market towns & ancient villages such as Londesborough, Millington, Thixendale & the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy, all before leaving the Wolds Way near Settrington Beacon & descending into Settrington to pick up the Centenary Way to Malton & the race finish.
The impressive challenge comes hot on the heels of Connor completing the Manchester Marathon in 4 h:17 m during one of the hottest days of the year in preparation for the Hardsworld 40.
Debbie Heald MBE, managing director, comments on Connor’s fundraiser: “Everyone at Heald is incredibly proud of Connor for taking on the Hardwolds 40 in support of Parkinson’s UK. It is inspiring to see his dedication not only to this challenge but also to such a vital cause.”
“The entire Heald team is behind Connor, cheering him on and supporting his fundraising efforts.”
