Heald Directors European Cycle For Charity

The Project

Rod and Debbie Heald, directors of Heald Ltd. are taking part in a 237-mile bike ride from Kent to Paris to support two charities: Cancer Research UK and Stem4. The cycle will happen towards the end of May, and we encourage everyone to support the cause!

Who are we supporting?

We’re supporting two charities, Cancer Research UK and Stem4.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

Stem4 is an organisation which aims at promoting and protecting the mental health of teenage sufferers of eating disorders, depression, self-harm and addiction through the provision of support, education and practical advice.

Why did we choose these charities?

“We have chosen Cancer Research because this is a charity we have worked closely with in recent years and seen first-hand the benefits of what funding can do. Our daughter Emilie was strong enough to overcome this horrible disease and not a day goes by where we don’t thank God for the treatment and support she got.”

“There are many young people who have struggled and are still struggling with mental health issues and we want them to know that it is okay, you are not alone and that there is always someone to speak to. Publicising this charity I hope will encourage young people to use Stem4’s website and make the first steps, a problem shared is a problem halved.”

Saving lives comes in all shapes and sizes

At Heald, we do everything we can to help protect people from vehicle-borne attacks. We stay on top of design and innovation when it comes to our products, ensuring our designs provide the top quality and safety.

Our directors want to go further than that and help protect and save lives beyond our company’s scope of expertise – therefore, they decided to cycle nearly 240 miles and raise funds for their chosen charities.

We’ll be posting updates of Rod and Debbie’s journey on our twitter account, so make sure you are following Heald UK.

Meanwhile, if you can support these two fabulous charities with a donation it would be very much appreciated. Alternatively, donations can be sent to the Heald Ltd address.
