Heald MD wins Family Company Director of the Year at the IoD Awards
Not only was our MD, Debbie Heald, shortlisted for three awards including Director of the Year (SME) and International Director of the Year, but Debbie secured the overall win in the Family Company Director of the Year. After winning the regional award (Yorkshire and North East), Debbie has now been put forward for the National Director of the Year finals.
Heald win 'Sold Nationwide' Category at Made in Hull Awards
Heald secured the overall win for their security product, the Matador, in the ‘Sold Nationwide’ category at the ‘Made in Hull Awards’. The Matador was recognised for its recent instalments over the past few years nationwide.
Heald Highly Commended at Inaugural Northern Powerhouse Awards
Boasting a record four award shortlists in the BQ Northern Powerhouse Awards, Heald walked away with a “Highly Commended” in the “Most Entrepreneurial Exporter of the Year” category at the inaugural BQ Northern Powerhouse Export Awards.
In 2016, Heald celebrated their 30th year in business.
Originally operating as an agricultural engineering company before recognising the need for specialised security equipment, Heald repositioned itself as an international counter-terror product manufacturer in 1994. Heald’s award-winning products now secure many vulnerable properties worldwide.
Heald Granted Made in Britain Marque
In January 2016, Heald were granted use of the Made in Britain marque. The marque will enable consumers to distinguish between Heald’s British-made products and other security goods made abroad. Research has found that an increasing number of consumers are keen to purchase goods that they know for certain have been made in Britain but are unable to recognise the origin of the products that they buy. The Made in Britain logo appears on thousands of products worldwide, supporting the manufacturing skills that exist in Britain today.
