Corporate Social Responsibility

At Heald UK, our dedication to innovation in security solutions is matched by our unwavering commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

We believe that our role as industry leaders extends beyond our products to encompass a responsibility to our community, environment, and workforce.

Through our CSR initiatives, we strive to make a positive impact and contribute to a sustainable future.

Harnessing solar power for a sustainable future

At Heald UK, our commitment to innovation and sustainability extends beyond our cutting-edge security solutions. We are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and promoting renewable energy through the integration of solar panels into our operations, having installed 260 solar panels onto our purpose-built factory roof.

By harnessing the power of the sun, we aim to create a greener, more sustainable future for our business and our planet, and during the summer months expect that up to 70% of our energy consumption will be fuelled by solar power.

At Heald supporting others and helping to make the world a better place is in our DNA

Whether it’s investing in people, empowering the next generation, or supporting a range of charitable organisations, we’re proud of the positive impact we have on our local community and wider initiatives.

Over the years Heald has worked alongside a variety of educational establishments including Hornsea School and Language College to host work placement students.

We also regularly attend careers events, hosted talks and delivered STEM challenges to promote careers in manufacturing and promote women into STEM subjects.

This is evidenced through our ongoing apprenticeship program which has seen Heald employ and retain a significant number of apprentices over our 30 years in business.

Whether it’s hosting a bake sale, sponsoring our colleagues to undertake their own challenges through to taking part in events such as Red Bull Romaniacs and hosting a fundraising ball, you could say we thrive on helping others.

Through our Monthly Charity Fund and CSR days we have enabled colleagues to support grass root organisations through financial donations, and by giving time to worthy causes.

Whether it’s the local scout group, or a family member’s nursing home, we care about causes that matter to our colleagues.

As a result, we’ve supported charities including MIND, Stem4, Hull Women’s Centre, Cancer Research UK, Macmillan, Teenage Cancer Trust, Make-A-Wish, Bone Cancer Research Trust, Young Lives vs Cancer and many, many more.

From female football organisations, local rugby teams and even a power chair football club, we’ve supported a variety of sporting organisations to achieve their potential.

We’ve even contributed to developing the “World’s Fastest Wheelchair” helping Jason Liversidge achieve his ambition of gaining a Guinness World Record.
