What Are Roadblockers?

Roadblockers are steel barriers designed to guard against the highest level of vehicular threat. They can be raised and lowered to allow vehicles to pass over them. The default position would be raised, to prevent vehicles from passing through.

The roadblocker is a truly formidable defence. It is imposing and clearly shows any vehicle driver that you are serious about security. Our 800 roadblocker stands approximately 880mm tall.

Roadblockers are a significant presence, more so than swing barriers and bollards. Because of their size, they offer protection against larger vehicles.

There are a number of different models, designed for different levels of threat. The PAS68 rated Roadblocker meets the British standard in stopping a truck from passing through (7.5 tonnes @ 80kph).

As you can see from the crash test video, the vehicle is brought to a complete halt, the cab is completely destroyed and the truck does not penetrate the Roadblocker.

All our Roadblockers can be supplied with EFO (Emergency Fast Operation) and can operate through any access control system.
Optional accessories also include manual handpump, antiburst hydraulic valves, battery backup, anti tamper device for control cabinet, traffic indicator lights, safety loops and photocell units.
