Heald are pleased to have recently sponsored John Mayo, the Estate Manager at Escrick Park near York, in his week long “Wild Man in the Woods” project. This was undertaken in the beautiful woodland surrounding the park by John using his previous Army skills (and a knife and axe) to raise funds for BBC’s Children in Need appeal. After a week of living off berries and other forest fodder, John was pleased to receive fish and chips cooked by the children from Escrick school.

John reached his £10,000 target and celebrated by having a few days off to recover!
