PAS 68 CRASH TESTED HCR4M1200RB
Further testing was carried out using an 18 tonner against Heald's HCR4M1200RB. Again travelling at 80 kph, the truck was disabled upon impact with nil penetration. The Blocker continued normal operation after removal of the sacrificial front radius plate.
The vehicle did not penetrate past the front face of the Roadblocker, thus conforming to the British Standard PAS 68: 2007.
Because of the Roadblocker's design no pre-casting of the pit is necessary and there is no need for reinforcement of the concrete. This enables fitting to be completed more efficiently and cost effectively and under normal circumstances fitting can be completed in one day.
The PAS 68 1200RB holds a Secured By Design licence.
