What Are Road blockers?

Roadblockers are metal barriers designed to guard against the highest level of vehicular threat. They can be raised and lowered to allow vehicles to pass over them. The default position would be raised, to prevent vehicles from passing through.

The Road Blocker is a truly formidable defence and can be raised or lowered quickly and efficiently by a number of optional methods of access control.

Our PAS68 30 tonne rated barrier stands 1165mm high and fits into ground with no reinforcing of the concrete pit which is relatively shallow mount compared to other in ground Roadblockers.

The 30 tonne offers the ultimate in site protection, guarding against the threat of attack from larger vehicle types.

There are a number of different models, designed for different levels of threat.

As you can see from the crash test video , the vehicle is brought to a complete halt, the cab is completely destroyed and the truck does not penetrate the Roadblocker.

All our Roadblockers can be supplied with EFO (Emergency Fast Operation) and can operate through any access control system.
Optional accessories also include manual handpump, antiburst hydraulic valves, battery backup, anti tamper device for control cabinet, traffic indicator lights, safety loops and photocell units.
